Futures Literacies in Praxis (theory in action)
Futures literacy is the art of reading the room, reading the moment, and writing a future you want to wake up to.
This is for you. What you learn about yourself will change what you bring to your classroom, but this process is for you. To meet your future self, as you navigate a world that keeps changing underneath your feet.
Built from 545 contributions by 170 educators across two healing-centered gatherings. Debuted at the 2025 International Healing-Centered Education Conference.
The world we're being asked to prepare students for keeps morphing faster than our nervous systems, and the systems built to support us, were ever designed to handle.
Something is different here. This is what we reach for.
"You are not broken. Neither is the system. It is working exactly as it was designed. You, however, are paying attention. That's why you're here."

For the Fall Cohort. Focus (Flexible Path) and Full (Full Arc) are both on a sliding scale. Choose the level of commitment that's true for you, then the price point that's honest. The person at the top of the scale funds the person at the bottom. That's the model.

Make the sessions you can make. Flipped classroom model: pre-recorded session content, a dyad partner you meet with independently, integration sessions mid-week, occasional live attendance when you can show up. You're in the practice, at your pace.
Right for you if: Your schedule is full and your heart is in it. You need the container without the rigidity.
You're here. Every session, morning pages, artist's date, your dyad partner every week, the Wednesday three-word drop. Two touchpoints throughout the week: live session plus integration. The full 12-week arc, beginning to declaration.
Right for you if: You came to transform. In practice and in the room.
Futures Literacies in Praxis runs on a 12-week arc, adapted specifically for educators and educational leaders. Each session is a living laboratory. A place where the moment you are trying to meet becomes the curriculum. Capped at 20 people so the room stays real. From Week 1, you are paired with a dyad partner: a companion who walks the whole 12-week journey with you.
Go fast, go alone. Go further, go together.
Another set of companions: five archetypes from the Black Menagerie (five characters used as lenses to navigate the future) serve as your navigational lens throughout. You'll meet them in the room. Meet the Black Menagerie →
